2017 Training Courses

Women Suddenly In Charge Seminar  (2.5 hours)

Aim: To introduce key fundamental safe boating topics.

Prerequisites: None – those with little or no boating experience are especially welcome.

Course Content: Rules of the road, buoys and beacons, safety equipment and rope work.

Our Suddenly In Charge seminars are presented by three experienced female tutors. Each one delivers a separate interactive session. Delegates are assigned to one of three small groups which rotate so everyone attends all three.

The objective is to help attendees to stay safe, have the confidence to get more involved in their boating activities and provide a broad outline of what to do if required to take over at short notice.

These informal seminars are not intended to replace a course such as Day Skipper or Marine VHF Radio Operator. In fact many delegates find they enjoy the learning experience so much they elect to go on and enrol in fuller, more in-depth courses such as a Day Skipper or VHF Radio Operator course.

Course Fee: $55.00 per person
